Saint James School of Medicine (SJSM) is a medical school in the Caribbean, offering a quality medical education to students from the United States and Canada. SJSM has been in operation since 2000, and has since produced over 600 medical graduates who are now successfully practicing medicine in North America.

The Problem

For nearly three years SJSM has been conducting marketing using an in-house team. While this produced some results, their primary target, a double digit increase in enrollment, was missing. They approached 42 North with a task of improving their overall digital presence, with the goals of improving the number of leads and ultimately the number of conversions.

 

What we did

The first step 42 North took was to analyze the performance of the marketing channels SJSM utilized thus far. After the analysis 42 North created an annual marketing plan for 2021, which included changes to the website, SEO improvements as well as a creation of the video series to increase its presence in YouTube. Additionally, 42 North evaluated and tested new marketing channels, few of which produced great results.

Outcome

Within three months of 42 North taking over the marketing, SJSM experienced an 18% increase in leads, 21% increase in paid applications and 19% enrollment growth, all while keeping the marketing spend in line with the previous year.
